KCAA Announces 2009 Employee of the Year

Ragweed-induced Rhinitis Study

Kansas City Allergy and Asthma is conducting a research study to evaluate an investigational drug’s efficacy for patients with significant ragweed-induced rhinitis. Patients will receive either study drug or placebo (an inactive substance) and will be followed through the 2010 ragweed season.

You might be eligible to participate in the study if:
  • You are between the ages of 18 and 50
  • You have significant ragweed-induced rhinitis with or without asthma for at least the past 2 years
  • You have a positive skin test to ragweed
  • You have not been on immunotherapy in the past 5 years 
*Other criteria for participation does apply, and will be reviewed by your physician
 
If qualified, participants will receive study-related care and study medication, as well as, compensation for time and travel.
