Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioner

Monica Apollo, MPAS, PA-C

Monica Apollo joined KCAA in 2007. She is a native of southeast Kansas. Monica is a graduate of Pittsburgh State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Prior to furthering her education as a physician assistant, Monica worked as a registered nurse at Children’s Mercy Hospital. She also worked as a surgical nurse. She graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant from Wichita State University and is certified as a Physician Assistant through NCCPA and licensed in the state of Kansas. Monica maintains her education through continuous medical education.

Sara Cox, MPAS, PA-C

Sara Cox worked for KCAA from 2007 to 2009 and then rejoined the group in 2012. She graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Physician Assistant studies in 2001 from the Wichita State University PA program. In 2006 she completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies through the University of Nebraska Medical Center PA program. She maintains her National Certification through NCCPA.  Prior to working at KCAA and from 2009 to 2011 Sara worked in Pediatrics. Although she has a special interest in Pediatrics, she truly enjoys providing quality healthcare to people of all ages.

Outside of work Sara enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children. She is also involved in mission work within her community and in Haiti and enjoys using her medical skills to help the underserved.

Jessica Foley, APRN, FNP

Jessica Foley joined KCAA in 2012 after graduating with her nurse practitioner, masters in nursing degree from Research College of Nursing. Jessica also attended Research College of Nursing for her undergraduate degree in nursing. Prior to joining KCAA, she was a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Research Medical Center. Being an asthma and allergy patient herself, Jessica has a desire to care for others with asthma and allergies as well. Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys spending time with her new husband and their two labradoodles.

Kristy Mohn, M.S.,APRN-BC

Kristy Mohn, M.S, ARNP joined KCAA as a graduate nurse practitioner in August 2009. Being a mother of a child with asthma, Kristy has a vested interest in allergy and asthma care. She graduated from the University of Kansas School of Nursing with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She also earned her board certification as a nurse practioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Centers and  is licensed in both Kansas and Missouri. Kristy worked for eleven years as a nurse in the Women’s Center at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. 

After returning to the University of Kansas, Kristy graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing in 2009. Away from the office, Kristy enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.
